When I finished the 365 project I commented that one picture had been viewed many times more than any other - under the cut I'll show you which one - I'm fairly sure that you won't be able to guess in a month of Sundays!

Also, I have been trying to work out which is my favourite - and I really find it difficult - finally I have worked out my top three.

In no particular order my three favourites are ;

365 week 26 Wednesday

365 week 37 Tuesday

And -

365 Week 28 Friday

Although I don't necessarily think they are the best technically.

But - the one that has had the most views by far? Like 103 views which is more than 70 views more than any other? Any guesses?

It's

365 week 18 Saturday

Honestly!

I do know how and why - there is a community on the net somewhere which is devoted to the ships that sail in and out of the Mersey. Someone who belongs to it had seen my picture on Flickr and, when there was a discussion about the size of the car deck on the Ben my Chree(!), that person not only gave dimensions but said "there is a really good picture of it here" - and 103 people clicked to see! Who'd have thought 103 people would belong to a comm set up to discuss the boats sailing in and out of the Mersey to start with? Logically there must be more of them as I can't imagine every member was so fascinated that they clicked to see...

Probably if you asked me tomorrow I'd choose different ones as my favourites!

If you have a favourite amongst the 365 pics, or just one that sticks in your memory, do say - I would be interested to know. If you want to be reminded, for any reason, there is a link in my sidebar to my Flickr stream!

Thank you - I think I might print some to frame, and that would be one of them.

I certainly love that top one.

Mmmm - I might have a look at mine next week and decide, as well.

It is interesting to look back - and hard to choose.

The internet is a magical thing. Especially if you want pictures of car decks, apparently!

The photo that stuck in my mind most was the secret gateway, though looking back at your photo stream there are actually two gate pictures, both mysterious and thrilling. Much like the second of your favourites, actually: faerie-feelings, if that's not too twee a phrase!

There are so many sea pictures I loved too, but I couldn't pick one. They all combine to give that island-life feeling we have all been fascinated by.

Bird prints in the snow has a special place in my heart too - it seems like a happy symbol of this long, cold winter!

Pictures of car decks are highly prized apparently!

I like the faerie-feeling pictures, too - I was really dithering about whether to go for the third picture or one of those two mysterious gateways.

I couldn't choose between the sea pics either.

It's really just a wee place - but very faerie-feeling.

I love that first one as well. And how odd that the ferry would be tops--you're right, I never would have guessed!

There's several that come to mind as favorites--one is the gatepost with the curling stone, simply because it's so unusual. Another is the one you call "secret gate" with the roses (I think they were roses) growing over it. And another is the "enticing gateway" one (are you sensing a trend with my favorites? LOL). And I loved all the ones of the harbor and all the boats and masts.

I think I must do a gate collection!

And the boats in the harbour - there was this one of Douglas (http://www.flickr.com/photos/voirreys_pics/3759126246/sizes/o/), but I think I like this one of Port Saint Mary (http://www.flickr.com/photos/voirreys_pics/4000564459/sizes/o/) better.

A gate collection would be lovely, yes! And I have to say I liked the Douglas harbor better because it showed the town behind all the boats, which I found really fascinating.

I really like the old farm! It's just magical looking; some fortuitous combination of the mist, the light, and the old stonework. I've enjoyed a lot of your pictures though. One of a sesgull sticks in my mind!

LOL re: the ferry. I remember that one; from that car-deck angle it looks a lot like the ferries I travel on!

I have a feeling that most car ferries are pretty much alike! I took it really as an indicator of what island life is really like.

It is really interesting which pictures stick in people's minds - I liked the gull that isn't called Tracy (http://www.flickr.com/photos/voirreys_pics/4395050104/sizes/o/) - but there was also this young herring gull (http://www.flickr.com/photos/voirreys_pics/3834600794/); the difference in their plumage between the summer and winter as they grow up is quite noticeable in the two pictures.

Those three are lovely, but I believe I like the pictures from your back garden best.

It is interesting about the community-they should give you an honorable membership.

Hmm - not sure I'd visit that community all that often...

Here's a garden pic in my icon.

The three you chose are very striking.

My favorites: flour mill, the Nigel train, food markets, the shot of the boat framed with two palm trees, and every shot of the countryside, dwellings, beaches, and water.

I found your photo of the ship's interior fascinating, also. One doesn't find ships of that size here. We have small fishing boats and recreational motorboats, but a ship that size, no.

I almost chose the shot of Sir Nigel as one of my own favourites.

It is really interesting which ones people like best - and that some of the everyday things, to me, are interesting to other people.

One reason I took the interior shot of the Ben was to try to give some idea of size - the term 'ferry' covers so many different things.

I have Week 52: Friday (the primrose plants) on my desktop even as we speak! And I just saved Week 29: Wednesday (gate all but hidden by fuschias). I think my very favorite, though, it Week 49: Wednesday, a garden gate - I'm still hoping one day soon to write about what happened in that garden.

Oh - those plants are definitely cheerful! And the mysterious gates do call for fic - I'll be fascinated by what you write.

I must look out for more gateways and do a whole gateway post sometime.

It's not had very many 'views' at all. Second most popular is one showing the boat coming into Douglas - boats obviously attract people on Flickr...!!

Those are all very lovely, amazing shots! You should submit some of your photos to an art contest. Even if you don't win, it's great fun to enter (but free-to-enter contests are much nicer if you don't win!).

I remember that first one, from when you posted it. It is beautiful.
*g* It's odd, isn't it, the things people obsess about (says one who really can't afford to throw any stone *g*)?

I know - and not only obsessed with which boats are sailing in and out, but obsessed enough to go and look at a picture of the car deck...

We're quite normal by comparison!

I don't always comment, but I love your picture posts. I have still been taking mine, and they are all up on my facebook, but havent' resized them and posted them here. Mayber someday I will take the time to do that. I really like the waterfall that you chose among your favorites. It reminds me of one of my favorite places at my Grandpa's.
