When I finished the 365 project I commented that one picture had been viewed many times more than any other - under the cut I'll show you which one - I'm fairly sure that you won't be able to guess in a month of Sundays!
Also, I have been trying to work out which is my favourite - and I really find it difficult - finally I have worked out my top three.
In no particular order my three favourites are ;

And -

Although I don't necessarily think they are the best technically.
But - the one that has had the most views by far? Like 103 views which is more than 70 views more than any other? Any guesses?
It's

Honestly!
I do know how and why - there is a community on the net somewhere which is devoted to the ships that sail in and out of the Mersey. Someone who belongs to it had seen my picture on Flickr and, when there was a discussion about the size of the car deck on the Ben my Chree(!), that person not only gave dimensions but said "there is a really good picture of it here" - and 103 people clicked to see! Who'd have thought 103 people would belong to a comm set up to discuss the boats sailing in and out of the Mersey to start with? Logically there must be more of them as I can't imagine every member was so fascinated that they clicked to see...
Probably if you asked me tomorrow I'd choose different ones as my favourites!
If you have a favourite amongst the 365 pics, or just one that sticks in your memory, do say - I would be interested to know. If you want to be reminded, for any reason, there is a link in my sidebar to my Flickr stream!

Date: 09/03/2010 08:53 pm (UTC)The photo that stuck in my mind most was the secret gateway, though looking back at your photo stream there are actually two gate pictures, both mysterious and thrilling. Much like the second of your favourites, actually: faerie-feelings, if that's not too twee a phrase!
There are so many sea pictures I loved too, but I couldn't pick one. They all combine to give that island-life feeling we have all been fascinated by.
Bird prints in the snow has a special place in my heart too - it seems like a happy symbol of this long, cold winter!

Date: 09/03/2010 09:46 pm (UTC)There's several that come to mind as favorites--one is the gatepost with the curling stone, simply because it's so unusual. Another is the one you call "secret gate" with the roses (I think they were roses) growing over it. And another is the "enticing gateway" one (are you sensing a trend with my favorites? LOL). And I loved all the ones of the harbor and all the boats and masts.

I found your photo of the ship's interior fascinating, also. One doesn't find ships of that size here. We have small fishing boats and recreational motorboats, but a ship that size, no.

Date: 11/03/2010 09:00 am (UTC)*g* It's odd, isn't it, the things people obsess about (says one who really can't afford to throw any stone *g*)?
