I wave sheepishly. It's the only way that I can wave as I only have this icon here...

From here - the rock in the Irish Sea - we can haz no Live Journal. Live Journal has disappeared. Is this entirely local to us, or has it disappeared for other people too? I thought, as it went about 12 hours or more ago, that there would be a few posts about it over here, but haven't seen any.

I have had a few comments e-mailed to me this morning, posted by friends in the USA, so I know LJ must be operating OK there at the moment - is it OK in mainland UK as well?

I really must get around to using this journal properly...

It seems to be okay here now. (no crankier than usual) Apparently there was an outage of service yesterday - some kind of hacking/spamming that hit LJ, Facebook, Twitter and a few other social network things. I would guess that you're experiencing the remnants of that outage as LJ tries to get everything back on track.

I'm back this morning. My real worry was that if there were only a few of us left cut off they might not notice!

But it does remind me to do something with this journal...

It's most of the British Isles, from what I've been hearing, although LJ has been slow on this side of the pond, too. I have a bad habit of forgetting to check my DW flist, otherwise I'd have checked in earlier.
