Mothers' Day Greetings.

To all those on LJ who celebrate today - those with children, and those who 'mother' others.

Pity it isn't Mothers' Day here, as we have S2C's mother with us - but of course, no Mothers' Day cards in our shops.

Not too bad! Although I'm teaching a two-day course this week, which I always find tiring - as you'll well understand!

MiL is fine. Still very shaken by the death of her sister - she is going on to see her brother-in-law and her nieces later this week.

He use to be very good at foot rubs, but now the only way I'd get one would be if I sat on the computer keyboard, and refused to move unless I got one.

We went out for dinner because I decided that Mother's Day was a great excuse not to cook. Otherwise, I'm not a big fan of Mother's Day, which seems to be a Hallmark event designed to sell cards, flowers, candy, etc.

I know what you mean. The price of flowers always seems to go up the week before Mothering Sunday.
