A birthday greeting -

Someone who's wonderful use of words when she describes her environment always makes my day better - no matter what it was like before.

Off to work now!

Just wanted to say hi.

There was something I wanted to ask you. I was re-reading the Tara-Willow interlude that you did for TYA and I was wondering. How hard was it to write Buffy's abandonment of Dawn and her forsaking and repudiation of Giles? It's a very simple passage but absolutely wrenching to read. As Willow believes it seems to be such a denial of everything Joyce was about that. It's very believable and within what I think Buffy was totally capable to doing, but so sad.

It wasn't difficult - it just seemed to me, from what we saw in 'The Girl in Question', that at that time she was being very self-centred, and anything that reminded her of responsibilities was not welcome. In my version Buffy does see sense,so to speak, after a while, and 'grows up again', but at the time of 'News From Heaven' she is still with the Immortal, and only interested in things to make her say 'Aah!'
