Hi Ho, so another year then. Feeling a bit Eeyore about it. Had a nice day yesterday, my Mother came for lunch, and we had a really traditional meal - roast goose and root vegetables - roast potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots. And the goose was just right.

Not big on the Resolutions - how about lose the 2lb I've put on over the festive season,in case another 5 or 6lb sneak up on me before I notice? That seems pretty achievable! OH - and I will not try to recapture my long lost youth by buying a big motor-bike. When I was a regular biker I couldn't ride anything bigger than a 500cc as I have little short legs and the bigger bikes would fall over at halt signs - so I should be able to keep this one as well. Mind they were good times!

Daughter-dear has the resolution thing taped - she makes Old Year Resolutions! Her Old Year Resolution for 2004 was to be completely teetotal, and cleanse her system by fasting, until the end of the year. As midnight struck, she declared herself well satisfied, and celebrated with some coffee liqueur and a chocolate, having held her resolve from the moment she had made the resolutions - 11.40pm on the 31.12.04! I really think it could catch on!

I like your daughter's idea. Tell her she's starting a trend. As for the motor-bike, I have always had a hankering to buy a motorcycle but, like you, am a bit too short to keep the bike up at stops. I am also uncoordinated to boot. Still, Harley-Davidson puts out a very nice, low-to-the-ground bike that I dream about getting one day. There are a number of them that come visiting here in my valley; every time I see one in front of one of the local restaurants, I stand there staring and quite possibly (on one occassion when I was actually suited up for Court and hadn't changed yet)drooling. Happy New Year.
