Well August flashed by...!

I have been out and about, spent time with friends and family, pottered in the garden, and also knitted; here is a wee jumper for Edie that I finished yesterday - very plain pattern as I wanted the yarn to be the star -



And now it is more than 2 years since our daughter and son-in-law got married, it was their wedding anniversary last Sunday.

Quick wedding picture just because I love it -



The children go back to school on Wednesday, and this was the view from the webcam in Peel around 8.30 this evening - the nights are definitely drawing in.



Next thing you know it will be Christmas...

It was such an easy thing to knit - it was my 'knitting whilst watching TV thing for a couple of weeks!

Where was the wedding pic taken?

Scot or not, I couldn't persuade him to wear the kilt for ours!

It was taken on Fort Island, Derbyhaven - about five minutes away from where the wedding ceremony was, in Castle Rushen. Having a wedding in Castle Rushen is not as upmarket as it sounds - it has housed the registry for the south of the island for many, many, years - but is also one of their favourite places. It was a real 'village' wedding; the reception included a ceilidh in the village hall, I made their cake and also the bride's headdress, and the best man was the groom's 12 year old son, the bridesmaid his 10 year old daughter (He was a single father of two by the time he was 21!).

It has just occurred to me that it might be nice to put the (very short, i.e. under 5 minutes) video here on DW - I will post it in a few minutes, so that I can continue to be able to find it!

Oh, I am NOT ready for Christmas and winter, but time marches on.

That's about my favorite of all the wedding photos, too. Two years! Doesn't seem possible.

It really doesn't seem like 2 years... her friends, and ours, still say what an incredibly happy day it was.

Thank you! It was a lovely wedding and that is one of my favourite pictures from it. There is also a lovely, very short, video and it has just occurred to me that it might be a good idea to post it here on DW in case I ever lose the link. So I am just about to do that!
