New Recipe for March
9 Mar 2014 09:50 pmSo, after the venison casserole in January, and the peanut butter and chocolate chip cake in February, for my new recipe this month I, again, turned to the BBC Good Food magazines my daughter got me all last year.
But this time I tried something very, very, easy.
I had some minced beef in the freezer to use up - and decided to make Beef and Bacon Meatloaf. This is one of their 'five ingredient' recipes - and even then they were pushing it, as one of the five was the oil to brush the tin!
But it is really nice. D-d and I had it with some roast butternut squash, and roast tomatoes/peppers/onions. And it looked quite a lot like the one in the illustration for the recipe, too -

Definitely one to make again!

Date: 09/03/2014 11:23 pm (UTC)I am very pleased with myself, after a frustrating few minutes trying to transfer some c.d.'s I had just ripped from My Music to media player so I could sync them to the mp3 player I finally figured it out with a little bit of help from the B.B. one just opens both and transfer the file to be copied to media player and syncs it to the player and in the process it some how jumps to media player. Yay!
I am getting ready for a day at the hospital waiting on B.H. having a 'procedure', it's not until 2.30 p.m. so goodness knows what time we will get out of there and then a one hour ride home on top of it! Why his Dr. had to move I don't know but it is very inconvenient all around.
Oh, well rant over, sorry!
Will definitely try the meat loaf.

Date: 10/03/2014 05:47 pm (UTC)Whereas we would put it through a mechanical mincer - ground to us implies reduced to more or less a paste - like mechanically recovered stuff. We grind spices, or flour. Fine dice would be called 'chopped'.
