I've posted my Back to Middle Earth Month story to the community ready to be 'unveiled' on March 12th. I think I followed all the instructions...

I think I need a glass of wine after that - posting was almost as difficult as writing it, making sure I followed all the instructions plus making sure the recipe format was OK, and the photo I added... (My prompt was The turning of the year brings feasts and holidays. It's time to enjoy the bounty that was saved for the winter. Create a story or a work of art featuring a Winter seasonal food. Bonus for including a recipe. - but how I answered it will only be made public in another 6 days time!)

And - a small sign of spring, at last!

Good for you! I've sent my story off for one last beta before I post it, but it's not due until March 19 so I might sit on it a while and give it one more reread before I submit it, just to catch any last minute gaffs that may have slipped everyone's notice.

Very pretty daffs!

Mine ended up at about 6,000 words, and took some discussion with S2C about where bits of it should go. But we finally decided, and it has been fine-tooth combed, so I decided to post whilst I wasn't in a hurry!

Huzzah!! Mine was a right pain in the butt, posted it on Sunday night and then almost immediately decided there was one thing I'd been waffling about that NEEDED TO BE CHANGED, so then had to go through the whole process all over again :P. Excited to read yours!! And DOUBLE HUZZAH for daffodils!

I found making sure I had linked properly to the story this is related to, filling in all the required stuff, making sure the photo I'd included worked, and so on, was almost as hard work as writing the thing!

The daffs do brighten the garden - even though there are only 4 of them.

Blue and yellow...lovely combination and I'm loving all the beautiful blue pots in the photos (and the daffs as well!)

Congratulations on posting the story!
And enjoy the wine.
:)

I do like blue pots - they make the garden happy looking even when there are no flowers at all.

I have 2 narcissi just opening too. None of the others have flower buds, though - just leaves, this year.

Brave little blooms!

Congratulations on finishing your story. I look forward to reading it.

They really are brave little blooms - and one of the miniature roses has just unfurled a couple of leaves - really signs of spring.

I think you might rather like my story - the character list starts Frodo, Gandalf, Elrond, Celebrian....

No daffies here yet, but I live in hope.

PS - I finally put a small package in the mail for you today.

Figuring out this year's challenge rules is a work of art in itself!

I could just cope with 'pick a prompt and write for it. Post on the right day.' But then it occurred to me that even posting was quite complex, so I decided that posting in advance, for them to uncover it on the day, might be best.

The 'other people can post, too,' bit confused me completely - do you post the other stories only after the date of the prompt? On the day of the prompt? Etc.

You can post the stories any time you wish, but they will not be revealed until the next Saturday. I don't think there is any rule about which prompts come out on which dates, but the whole thing makes my head swim. I admit I prefer a daily prompt to take or leave and a daily banner you could win if you choose the prompt!

I rather liked that the whole month was up well in advance, and I only felt I needed to pick one - the previous versions have all been rather intimidating!

I'm trying to have my cake and eat it by choosing any prompts that appeal to me as they are posted.

Pretty flowers and they do look good in the blue pot.

No flowers in my garden yet other than Miss Kitty sitting there looking innocent. So far this year the count is two lizards, one with and one with out tail and a gopher, I wonder if she will beat last years score which topped out at about a dozen gophers and other assorted bits and pieces.

Now if only I can get her to leave our lady mail carrier alone!

Why do they make it so hard to post a story, I think authors would think twice about posting if it is so difficult?

I have a feeling that, had we such exotic beasties as lizards and gophers, our late cat would have been in competition with Miss Kitty.

Posting it probably not really,/i> hard - but there is a set format for what info to give in what order, info on tagging, and a deadline. You can see why I only get involved in such things about once every 2 years!

You definitely deserve a glass of wine!

Beautiful daffodils, and I love the colour of the pot!

I enjoyed that glass of wine!

I do like blue pots - I have quite a few in my garden - they make me happy to look at them even in winter.

Congrats to your B2MeM being posted! It sounds like I should plan extra time for posting, though. I haven't dared yet to look closer into the process, it sounded complicated. ;o)
How nice to see your daffodils! When I saw your post, mine in the pots at the front door were still closed, but they opened today as well.

I was trying hard to put all the correct info, and also to add a link to In The Winter Garden if anyone wanted it, two recipes and a photo... Then to read all the info in the post on tagging - only, when I finally went to post it, told me I wasn't allowed to tag on the community!

So it probably isn't as difficult as I've made it sound - particularly if you just leave it untagged for the admins to do it.
