To Whom It May Concern re; Weather.

Severe Storm Force 11 once every 2 or 3 years can be quite exciting. But for the 3rd...4th...5th time in one winter? It is getting boring now.



Yes - we have force 11 again, gusts of 80mph+, things blowing around in the garden, in the street, and so on. Boat and flights cancelled, trees down, roads flooded...

Hard to remember that beautiful day on Monday, now.

When will it end? I've been watching a huge pine tree across the road that's at an angle like this \\\ all day. It hasn't blown down yet, but I won't be surprised if it does.

I hope you stay safe and dry, and others (like azalaisdep) survive the floods.

Meep! I hope you are out of pine tree range!

We are well above any possible flooding - but the wind is pretty horrific at the moment.

I just think it is time for us to have spring. A nice, quiet, dry, spring.

Last time I asked, Azalias' new house was still above water... I'm hoping it still is.

Still fine thanks, bone dry! As last month, some of the streets on the opposite side of the main road flooded, but we're fine. Though our would-be builder is flooded so hasn't been able to get to us this week!

Have been worrying about the Small Island today, it's been pretty wild even here in the middle of England! Glad to hear Jay is so far OK too...

You have chosen wisely... Pity about the builder, though.

We have reached the point where gale force winds are so much the norm that we think of 20mph being fairly calm, and are almost lost if the wind-speed drops below about 15mph as it did on Monday.

I was worried about Jay too, until she 'checked in'.
