I think they did a good job of describing your island. Hopefully you will get to keep your unique customs and traditions - they seem fascinating. Multi culturism is fine, but I do still feel a sense of loss for MY London sometimes. It's not the same here ... not necessarily worse, but what was, is most definitely gone.
I understand what you mean. So far we seem to have assimilated most incomers - did you notice how many different races there were in the clip from Fairfield School?
But we do try hard to keep all the traditions going, and it is easier to do it when the population is so small, oddly.
