Firstly - the back; it is much better - just the odd twinge on standing from sitting and if I am not careful bending or twisting.

Secondly - the fridge magnets;
I was asked for some close-ups and I have put them

And a final picture, taken this morning to amuse you, of the contents of the fridge...

A bit Mother Hubbard....

Yep - two plain yoghurts, two corner yoghurts, a small bowl of cooked rice, a small amount of cheese, a jar of goose-fat and a Co-op ready cooked mini beef-joint, which is my emergency food for putting with veg from the freezer, or making hot beef sandwiches... other than that it is really a bit like Mother Hubbard's cupboard!

You have to bear in mind that I was going to go shopping after work on Thursday, but didn't because of my back, and didn't do any shopping yesterday as S2C and I were going out for a meal - I really am going to go to Tescos in a few minutes, honestly.

Are your plastic surgeons under NHS rules? I'm not talking about necessary reconstructive-type surgery but purely cosmetic stuff. Bojoette's clinic handles the serious cases of melanoma and skin diseases, but they also have a thriving practice serving the severely vain and wealthy. I would assume the reps that bring the fruit/veggie plates and sandwiches probably cater to the designer kinds of drugs.

The purely cosmetic work is all done privately; although some of the best cosmetic stuff is done by surgeons who also work within the NHS. So the surgeon might be doing breast reconstruction for the NHS one day, and breast enhancement in a private hospital the next.

I an pretty sure there are strict rules laid down by the pharmaceutical companies association and the GMC (General Medical Council) for all prescribers (I really should know, as it was covered when I did my prescribing course). If I remember properly they are not allowed to entertain at a level beyond that which the person they are entertaining would normally provide for themselves. And they can only provide meals if there is also an educational input.

Hence the meetings for nursing staff, at our clinic, from reps whose products are widely prescribed by nurses, to update us on any changes, new products etc. - accompanied by a sandwich lunch.

I'm guessing they can take the private cosmetic surgeons to upmarket restaurants at lunch time and update them over the port...
