A Wombat of Very Little Brain.

It finally occurred to me today that perhaps I had missed a post, possibly when away from home in May or June, telling me where to pick up the banners for my stories that are nominated in this year's Middle Earth Fanfic Awards... And so I went to the FAQs and discovered there is actually a whole new LJ Comm full of banners where I ould have picked them up ages ago...

So, now I have my shiny things! Apologies to some of the original artists for adding titles myself.

I have also been given some lovely artwork for some of my stories by wildecate which I fully intend to put not only here, but also with the relevant stories. And I really must work out how to put my own header on my journal as one, at least, would be wonderful for that.

On kazzy_cee's recommendation, I went to jape_answers, where I found out how to customise my LJ. The exact instructions differ according to the theme you are using, but the memories have a clear list and the tags are good. It is a little old, now, but the instructions are nice and clear.

Nice choices. I'm so behind on my own reviews. I think several of my stories have been reviewed which thrills me, but I know I have no chance of winning against so many other talented writers. It's amazing just to be nominated and be in the company of talents like you. (Marking down your stories to make sure that I read and review when time opens up.)

I was so amazed when I got the first nomination for a drabble a couple of years ago - it is like an Oscar nomination - and yours are certainly just as good.

I wouldn't have known either but I asked someone on LJ Who was showing off a banner where they got it from. They used to tell you in your nomination e mail.

Yes - I thought they used to mention it in the e-mail, or possibly the liaison mentioned it when the nomination was completed.

Perhaps we should mention it in feedback once they are over.
