Hugs LJ - how dare people go attacking our place like this!

I said on Sunday that on the to-do list for this next week is 'ring up blood-clinic and make an appointment'. Along with 'get boat/rail tickets to go to WriterConUK'.

Well it's only Wednesday and I have not only achieved both, but even been to blood clinic and had my blood taken for my routine thyroxine levels.

How exciting my life is...

Whereas a phone call from D-d at our lunchtime, her late evening, informed us that she has had two fantastic days on board this ex-racing yacht. She saw whales and a turtle swimming by and is hoping to go scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow.

My thoughts exactly. I can't complain much because yesterday was the only time I could not post a reply and for some time could not even access LJ. Today, it's slow as blazes but it's still working.

I wish I were having as glorious a time as D-d is.

She is having a fantastic trip - I am really looking forward to seeing the photos.

Hurrah! It's fine for me too. I even managed to change my user picture, and my LJ journal style. I don't write on my journal, but I like changing the style. LOL

I want to see D-d's photos too.

hey, whose to say that tickets to go to WriterConUK isn't more exciting than whales. My daughter just came back from ComicCon (San Diego - the biggest) and was thrilled, so I'm sure your anticipation wins out.

Comic Con is a good deal bigger than our annual get together - we usually have between 20 and 30 people at it! But it is great fun and S2C and I are looking forward to it with anticipation. Buying the boat and train tickets is less exciting, though :~(

And yaaahhhh! Now I can I'll be replying to everything - I've barely been able to access my own journal, and haven't been able to load friends' pages/post/reply all week.

It's surprising how much we miss this place when it has problems.

I'm hopeful that Coventry will be sunny... although I'm always more bothered about the state of the sea on the days I'm travelling!

And of course I meant 'sunny'! *doh* clumsy fingers. As you say 'calm seas and a fair wind' are more useful to you. ;)
