Thanks to everyone for the birthday greetings, e-cards and virtual gifts for my profile page - it looks very smart there at the moment!
I had a nice birthday - D-d took me out for lunch, we watched the new Wallace and Gromit, and ate cake - a good day all round.
Her boyfriend arrived yesterday to stay for a few days - New Year here sounds better than it does at home in the South of England, he reckons. He came bearing vast amounts of chocolate for S2C and I. We'll have to work hard to finish it all by the twelfth day of Christmas, and by then I probably won't fit into any of my clothes... but it will have been fun. I'll look like the cat in my icon!

S2C has now beta-read 2 of the 3 chapters of my Dawn in Middle Earth romance/in-fill - I'm not sure whether tomorrow is a good time to post the first chapter, or whether to wait until after the New Year celebrations. What do possible readers think?
