I saw a meme on
hobbituk's journal, and I am being a sheep, and following her. It is a pic spam type meme, and so I will put it under the cut - but the basic premise is - 'what's in your kitchen cupboard and/or your fridge?'
( Hmm - and what does the Alka Seltza say about the chef? )
In other news - People often think life on an island in the middle of the Irish Sea must be very boring, and lacking in things to do. It isn't. Last night D-d and her friend went to a local music festival that was being held on a farm on the West coast of the island. There were five or six bands, some local ones and a couple of ones that come over from the UK regularly, playing last night; others on during today; and there is to be a BBQ afternoon with acoustic sets tomorrow.
The bands were playing in a barn. At least they were until the next but last act of the night, when the barn floor collapsed! So everyone went out to the field where those who were there for the weekend were camping, and sat around a big campfire, and nattered to their friends. For about an hour. The floor was not going to be repairable, so eventually the main band of the night, called 'Multi-purpose Chemicals', decided to do an acoustic set, out by the campfire with everyone else!
Apparently the effect was quite funny, because they were the 'heaviest' band of the night - and the lead singer is one of those rock-type singers who shouts a lot of the lyrics! This led, this morning, as she recounted it all to her father and I over breakfast, to S2C doing a 'typical campfire song', namely Kum-by-Ya, in the style of Slipknot. You had to be here to get the full effect....
