The next chapter of Return of the Key is with my beta-reader, but he is tired, having just finished his spell of nights at work, and won't be finished with it until tomorrow - so that will be then.

In the meantime, we have had lovely weather this weekend, and I have had the camera out in the yard. My fuchsias are all doing really well still -

For some reason one of those pics comes up on the preview as bigger than the rest - which is weird, because they are all the same size in my photobucket account - such are the mysteries of the internet!

The sweet peas are also still looking colourful -

And this is the only one of the patio roses that is currently in bloom -

And under this other cut is a very cute picture of

Well, OK - not terribly cute of S2C - but too cute of the cat not to share!

Our weather, even this summer, seems to suit fuchsias - my mother has a glorious one with flowers about 3" wide which simply self-seeded itself into a pot with a geranium!

Love the cat ... who obviousy loves S2C!!

Yes, fuscias are stunning aren't they - and you are right the weather has been nice over the last few days.

The cat is almost as big a softy as the husband.

It's getting windy now.

One of my fuchsias is actually only coming into bloom - a sort of Halloween Fuchsia or something!

The flowers are lovely.

Cat and husband both appear very comfortable.

The husband is lying on the chaise end of our living room corner unit - and as soon as he does so Shaka appears, as if by magic, and curls up on top of him.

Beautiful flowers! I am amazed by fuchsias every time I see them -- such intricate structure!

And awwww...*melts*

Fuchsias grow well here - we have wild ones that are used to hedge fields! I have five or six, maybe more, dotted around the yard and they always do well. I too love the delicacy and intricacy of them.

Lovely flower pictures, and the cat is too cute. (Not so sure about the man semi-glaring at the camera...) :)

He isn't really glaring at the camera - he's smirking at the cat!

Ah, okay. :)

I think they're both adorable. And the flowers - lovely.

It looks like we've had the last of the decent weather. And I've caught the first cold of the season. *grump*

It is getting a bit blustery out there now - we don't head off until Tuesday next wee, so hopefully it will have blown over, but the next one won't have blown in by then!

As for the cold - sends Beechams and Echinacea...

Oooo! Lovely fuchsias! And a very good picture of your husband :-)

I'm way behind with Return of the Key -- hope to catch up later in the week...

I've been being cruel to everyone in RotK(!!), I'm afraid! But I am posting the chapter tomorrow that finally has the glimmer of hope in the last line!

I love fuchsias - I find them remarkably tough and difficult to kill...

The husband and the cat make a lovely couple, don't they?

Petzi Sis had a fuschia plant in the backyard this Summer, she just got rid of it lately. And hubby and kitty look most comfy together.

Our weather suits fuchsias - they will over winter outdoors and carry on growing next year. The top three are all three or more years old.

Don't they? It's true love - Shaka loves to lie on anyone who lies on the settee... but S2C is his favourite.

Aw...Shaka reminds me of Q in that picture. She tends to flop on someone just like that.

He just waits for someone to lie down there and then appears on top of them; often without seeming to have crossed the intervening space!

Oh, I just love that first picture of the fuschias, and that rose looks creamy and soft. Aww, that is one contented kitty. :) Lovely photos- thanks for sharing.

I really should get the fuchsias in better focus - but my current camera just doesn't work quite a sclose-up as the old one did, and I keep getting just a cm too close!
