We are packing. We are off to see... well not actually the wizard. The Witch, or bogwitch anyway, and lots of other LJ people, somewhere in the middle of England.

We go on the 7.30a.m. boat, take 3 trains between Liverpool and Long Eaton, and hesadevil is going to meet us at the station.

As it is a writercon there will be workshops and things - S2C is talking about how to write fight scenes and how to give good drabble. We are to take examples of our writing for people to read in quiet bits - but I reckon Ten Years After is too long, as is Access All Areas, as well as being unfinished.

Which, as I am not a major league writer, didn't leave me with a lot to choose from - so I am taking my two Bagpuss/BtVS cross over ficlets Honestly!

And News From Heaven and Half a Sky of Stars - which I think is probably the best thing I have ever written.

And I am taking chocolate. To share with all those friends.

Also clothes for both of us, my laptop, things for S2C's talks, a Watchers Guide for the swap-meet part because we have two of it... we are going to look as if we are going for a month not a weekend.

Of course there is internet access - so as long as I can find a few minutes I will be able to post whilst I'm there. How neat is that? To be able to talk to some internet friends face to face, and communicate with the rest of you at the same time.

I love this technology!

You do realise there is a non-negligible chance that some of us will communicate with each other online in between talking to each other? Crazy, but it's happened every other time I've met largish numbers of online friends together in the same location with Internet access. The insanity is too deeply ingrained.

Really looking forward to meeting both of you tomorrow. I have a mere 50-odd miles to drive - peanuts after the last few days!

It is two of them - and whilst I coined 'Half a Sky of Stars' totally bt myself, 'News From Heaven' is the title of a track by Runrig - I liked the title so mych that I borrowed it.
