I really don't know when my story is to be made public - sometime this week though, as I understand it!
Mum's GP is very good, so as long as she is at work this week the referral will be made quickly. But it is such a nuisance - as a nurse specialist I refer directly to a gynaecologists, urologists, and paediatricians - why on earth the eye department can't take direct referrals from people who are more qualified in their specialism than I am in mine I really don't know.
