Winds can get so tiring when they go on and on. However, there is little chance for smog and pollution to remain (not that we have to worry about that in a rural community).
We're in the midst of a cold snap. It's -19°C and going to get colder. I'm so glad I pooh-poohed the USDA's redistricting of growing zones a few years ago and didn't buy plants for the warmer designation. (http://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/phzmweb/interactivemap.aspx) People who trusted that are going to lose lots of landscaping plants.
