They did! They reclassified it as 'critically endangered' - but at least they recognised that all these letters in Manx proved it wasn't dead.
The castle is fascinating - it really is one of the best preserved of it's type and period in the British Isles. and quite good to go around generally, but with all the 'living history' it was even better.
