The castle never really struck me, when younger, as all that exciting - I just kind of supposed that there were lots of bigger, better, ones equally intact in England.
But then began to realise, as did Manx National Heritage, just how good it actually is.
But popping into different scenes of its history as we went from room to room was a whole new way of looking at it.
