Tolkien-friends - you have just got to go and look at this post by [livejournal.com profile] stormwreath.

It is "a family tree of the royal houses of the Noldor -- that's Fëanor, Galadriel, and that crowd -- from the 'Silmarillion', using chibi art."

It is the perfect work of reference - decorative, informative - and fun!

Isn't it? I will keep it as a reference work - it is by far the most easily understood version I have ever seen!

Saw this and thought of you:

I get emails all the time from fans who want to be on GAME OF THRONES.

Here's your chance. The call has gone out for extras for season three.

Of course, it helps if you actually live in Northern Ireland.

Or the Republic of Ireland.

Or Scotland or England or the Isle of Man... y'know, someplace where you can actually get to the shoot. If you're in South Africa, Brazil, or Japan, your chances of getting a call are not good, alas.

On the other hand, if you're a bearded long-haired amputee from Derry, you should be gold.

Not that you are a bearded long-haired amputee from Derry, but wouldn't it be fun to be an extra on such a production?

Wow - What a great job he did! I just loved this and saved it for reference because it was so nicely conceived.

I have a feeling, from people who do extra work on the odd films that are shot here, that it is often cold and boring... but even so there are some possibilities that are very, very, tempting!

Isn't it? And probably the easiest to understand version I've ever seen, too.

I have it saved, too - it is the clearest version I've ever seen!

The physical features are a great mnemomic (can't remember how to spell that, lol).

Isn't it clever? Stormwreath is the person who actually came up with a translation of lirimaer that actually made sense, when I used it in an early fic.

It is all clear to me now - which it wasn't before, I have to admit!
