A few more pictures from the hobbit's journal - including Elrond. It is for Elrond I have chosen my icon. There is a picture of Elrohir as well - I guess we must just assume that Elladan looked very similar. He gave me a bit of a WTF moment, too.
There is also picture of the twins' Grandma, and a couple to show the family likenesses in the family of the Stewards, too.
Let's start with Galadriel - I'm not sure about this. In this instance I think I might prefer the face to the background.

But now - I give you Elrond.

I really thought Cirdan was the only elf with a beard - and even if Elrond is half-elven, I've never seen him as bearded! Although the eyes are, surprisingly, good.
At least he didn't give Elrohir a beard - but even so -

That's a real square jawed hero, isn't it? That's the sort of jaw he should have given Aragorn, perhaps. This guy really doesn't look as if he is 3/4 elven - especially considering what Michael Green thought Legolas looked like! And blond? Surely the sons of Elrond had their father's dark hair? Except that, of course, Elrond doesn't have it either. Maybe Elrond is grey? But I don't think Elrohir can possibly even have that excuse.
Now - to another family. Think back to Boromir - go on, I bet you couldn't forget that moustache even if you tried. So - here is an equally moustached Denethor -

The title is actually 'The Darkness of Denethor'. He looks weary - which is right, I suppose.
And spot the familymoustache likeness. This is Faramir -

The eyes are a bit wonky again - and I'm not overly sure about the hat - in fact the whole thing is a bit Robin Hood, really. Can't say the moustache does much for him, either - and is it just me, or does his nose look as if he might have caught the sun?
I leave you, for now, with a picture of Faramir's Rangers of Ithilien.

Perhaps Faramir would have worked better if he'd kept his balaclava on...
Next I'll scan in some of 'the baddies' - I rather like them - they look more as I would expect!
