"Fair, Strong and Cold" acknowledges that two combat veterans with PTSD would need time to heal, and then they could work on what it meant for them to be married -- not just as two people from very different cultures, but as the rulers of the Human population of an area damaged by warfare.
I love it for saying that people are complicated, and emotional hurt may never completely heal, and love is WORK -- and life can still be good and happy.
