Christmas Cake 2013
22 Dec 2013 07:40 pmSome of you will know that traditionally D-d and I decorate our Christmas cake together, coming up with a new design every year.
This year we still hadn't decided on a theme for it until we were at my Mum's yesterday and D-d looked at the mug she was drinking coffee from, decorated with a Christmas tree shape in different coloured circles and said 'this!'.
And so we thought about it in the car on the way home. As the cake itself is not our usual recipe, but is the Nigella Lawson chocolate fruit cake, we decided chocolate decorations were a good idea and D-d then did the design...

My job? I do the application of marzipan and plain icing as she rolls it out for me!
