Preparation.

The subject at photo_scavenger this week is preparation. I seem to have spent much of my week in preparation for one thing or another. On Monday and Tuesday I was in a classroom most of the time, preparing to qualify (hopefully) as a nurse prescriber.

Then I have had three days of annual leave. I have been making cards in preparation for Christmas. I have been to the garden centre (honestly) to buy the candles for the Church Advent Wreath in preparation for the first Sunday in Advent - and ordered a couple of Fairtrade Chocolate Advent calendars too - one for the Sunday School children to share, one for D-d who is still a child when it comes to Christmas.

I have made three lots of biscuit (cookie) dough and put them in the freezer. I have spent this afternoon making fruit loaves, which will also go in the freezer, in preparation for a cake-stall in a couple of weeks time.

I've tidied the garden a bit in preparation for winter, booked the car in for a service for the same reason. I'm currently preparing prayer notes to be handed out at church and I've made sure all D-d's relevant clothes are washed, in preparation for her leaving tomorrow on a trip to York and London. I've even called into the local bookshop to order a copy of 'Manx Criminal Law and Procedures' by Deemster David Doyle, in preparation for her return, as a graduation gift.

There has been shopping and cooking in preparation for meals, and doubtless a few other things I have forgotten.

So - how come I still haven't taken a picture for 'Preparation' at photo_scavenger ?
