Nice Weekend.
6 Nov 2011 07:52 pmIt was a lovely day yesterday, cool, but sunny. D-d and I decided on a trip out bearing cameras as they have a competition at work to produce photos to decorate the new boardroom. We went up into the hills and took some rather nice pics; hers were better than these and more plentiful, as I realised my batteries were low - and I'd left the spares at home.
So after we'd been up Druidale we went to Peel and she took pictures of the harbour - I admired them, but I've taken pictures of it before anyway! I'll add one to the end of these.
Then we had a very nice lunch together at Harbour Lights before I came home and pootled on the internet and got stuff ready for Sunday School, and she went to her friend's house to gossip and bake together. Who says the younger generation don't know how to make cakes?
Then it was Bonfire night - the fireworks on Douglas Promenade were very spectacular, but I didn't take any photos. Just watched for a little and then went to Tescos - which was remarkably quiet as most people were still watching the fireworks...
Any way the photos of Druidale are ( here )
D-d discovered last night that a couple of the other people at work have done pro- photography in the past... but I still think a good picture is a good picture - and no-one else might have thought to go to that particular spot...
Today we've been to church, and I've cleaned the tiles in the bathroom, mopped the kitchen floor, done some washing, cooked meat for later in the week and made scones - the price for having such a lazy Saturday!
