Flickr doesn't love me any more...
12 Jun 2011 10:37 pmI had a few pictures to share - but for some reason Flickr has decided it doesn't like some of them.
The subject at
photo_scavenger this past week was 'ocean' - I reckoned 'sea' was close enough - and thought I'd take a new one rather than use one I'd taken earlier. Except the sea was being quite boring this week, I waited all week for it to do something interesting - then gave up and took a few pictures anyway on Friday, one of which I used. Flickr has finally agreed to load four of those although it won't take anything else, so I'll post them ( under the cut )
D-d says thanks a lot for all the comments about the Blackberry puzzle. She is thinking maybe a Motorola Android on contract with one of the local firms who do seem to do a good deal.
I've just had an on-line committee meeting for the WriterCon meeting at Coventry on the first weekend of August. I would just like to say, to friends worldwide but obviously mainly those in the UK, that it would be lovely to see some of you there.
It is a really good opportunity to talk about geekish and fannish stuff without people giving you funny looks! Want advice on the best, or possibly easiest, way to make banners, or icons, or whatever? That sort of thing is all part of the fun - you don't have to just talk about fanfic.
It's fun, too, to find things in common with fans from different fandoms - whether it is an interest in Viking history, theatre, on-line games, or even, as one evening
gillo,
wildecate and I did - to sit talking about small children for ages!
and it would be nice not to be the only Tolkien writer if Ningloreth doesn't make it this year...
If you want to know more just leave a message here, or by PM, and I'll get back to you the same way with the details.
