Food Processor and Carrot Cake.
8 Jun 2010 08:46 pmFollowing on from yesterday's post - I went to the local supermarket, which has an electrical department, but they don't keep food processors as standard. It is only five minutes further to the local independent electrical goods shop and so I headed there. (Where, bonus, they have chickens and ducks living in the car-park... photos later in the week!)
Lady most apologetic that she doesn't have a small processor - even tells me where I can probably buy one quickly, but she does have a somewhat bigger one - and is pleasantly surprised when I buy it.
So - hopefully the Kenwood FP610 will be a bit tougher than the, only 3 years old, Moulinex. (It only cost me £2 more than it would if I'd ordered it from Tesco direct, as per the link, so a perfectly good price to get it right now!)
I unpacked it, grated the carrot in almost no time (the blades are much bigger and tougher than the Moulinex ones) - added a little extra baking powder to make up for the mixture sitting around, and threw it in the oven.
Result? Absolutely perfect! Hurrah! I know it not only rose, but tastes good, because I have kept a bit for home of this one. I thought it best to be sure... Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
