Here are some pictures that I took earlier this week. I had intended going to take some pictures in Maughold churchyard on Easter Monday, one of the oldest on the island, but, to be honest, it was too windy. But I took a few pictures in Maughold anyway - to give you some idea of the way spring is springing, and just how windy it was!
Also there are some rather nice sheep, a couple of pictures taken in Peel on Thursday - when it was a lovely bright day, and the view of Douglas Bay on Friday morning that did make me wonder if we had annoyed Gordon Brown once too often...
( here be pictures )
D-d went back to York today - the sea was like a millpond, so she had a nice crossing and a good drive over - she left home about 7.30 this morning and was in her house in York by 4pm.
I was so taken by the nice weather that I went to B&Q and bought a few bedding plants for some of the garden tubs, and then spent time potting. There is something rather satisfying about using your own home-made compost for this task, I have decided.
