curiouswombat: (Autumn)
There is still hay out in the fields in giant rolls - if they don't get it in soon they may as well leave it to plough back in...

Harvest is really over, winter is looming, and we have finished the 'Harvest' challenge at [livejournal.com profile] tolkien_weekly.

Here are the drabbles I wrote, shuffled into story chronological order. The central characters are the Rohirrim, Éowyn and Faramir, which sort of go together, I think.

So - here we go -

The Last Mowing. (Prompt = Scythe) )

Threshing Songs (Prompt = Thresh) )

Reaping the Reward (Prompt =Reap) )

Ripening (Prompt = Harvest Moon) )

Of Fathers and Sons (Prompt = Sheaf) )

A Taste of Summer. (Prompt = Hay) )

Disclaimer: The characters in these stories do not belong to me, but are being used for amusement only, and all rights remain with the estate of JRR Tolkien.

Now I must get back to Brotherhood. The chapter 'on the needles' at the moment actually does include Éowyn, Faramir and a couple of Rohirric Riders, but also a few elves and a slightly irate Key.
