Some of you might remember Daughter-dear's friend Jenny, who was having her head shaved in aid of MSF.

Well here is the 'After' picture, as promised -

Photobucket

Actually I think it rather suits her!

So far she has raised £645 - and i hear, via D-d, that she actually rather likes it!

I have another post for later, about Counting Blessings - but I thought it better to split them up!

Three years ago, for 4 weeks of Lent, I took part in a project called Count your Blessings.

I am doing it again this year - the proceeds from my own blessings, and the others at my church who are joining me, will go to Wateraid, but if any of you would like to join me as well, please feel free to give the money to any charity of your choice.

I will post the 'Blessings List' for each week on Sunday. To give you an idea of what I am talking about I will put the first 'Blessing' for this week outside the cut - then either put the pennies (or cents if you are outside the UK) in a jar or box, or write all your totals down and add them up at the end of the week, or the end of the whole month. So here is this week -

Week 1.

Sunday. Pray that you may use your time wisely. Give 2p for each clock or watch in your house.

rest of the week is under here )

Also - I mentioned on [livejournal.com profile] enigmaticblues journal that I have a recipe for the world's easiest and moistest chocolate cake - she asked me to post it, which I have done here at Cooking Up A Storm.

Finally - I have also started the 'One photo a day for a year' project today as well, I will do it from March 1st to February 28th. I think perhaps I should either only post the odd one, or post them once a week too.

Today's is a picture of a sleeping husband - he decided to put the football on TV, then slept on the settee all through it. He roused briefly to eat the meal I cooked him, then went to lie down on the bed - so asleep is mainly how I have seen him today. The longest conversation I have had all day was with a five year old this morning.

And no, S2C wasn't at work last night. Romance is not dead, just snoring.
