Tree ornaments.
22 Dec 2008 11:23 pmSomeone on my FL mentioned that they liked crystal tree ornaments. I have collected crystal ornaments for my tree for at least the last ten years, I think it may well be longer.
As I have a camera which seems to be pretty clear for doing close-ups, I thought I would share some of them.
This is a tiny glass nativity scene -about 2.5 inches in height -

( The rest are behind the cut. )
In other news - today I spent a couple of hours trying to track down a red cabbage! We always have spiced red cabbage at Christmas, and so now that I have one I can relax! D-d and I have put marzipan and the first layer of icing on the cake this evening (I know we should have left a day in between - we are late!), and she has just made a dozen mince-pies - one of her 'Christmas jobs'. We are feeling quite festive.
PS - conversation over dinner -
S2C - So, if you can get shortbread why can't you get longbread?
D-d - You can - baguettes.
S2C - So baguettes are anti-shortbread?
D-d - Yes, it's obvious.
S2C - So why did they spend all that money on the Hadron Collider? Couldn't they just have forced a baguette and a piece of shortbread towards each other at great speed?
CW - And made anti-bread.
D-d - Wouldn't you eat that with antipasto?
