A few days ago
ezagaaikwe was asking for cookie recipes, and I gave her my two easiest, but said I would also pass on the white chocolate and cranberry cookie recipe and, one she had been looking for, the recipe for gingerbread men.
Sorry Eza, it's a bit late for your cookie party, but better late than never...
So the recipes ( are under here )
Also, I was talking to Daughter-dear on the phone last night. We were discussing the Good Gifts I had purchased for her grandparents and aunt and uncle, as they had asked for us to do this rather than send actual items out to Australia.
I have got 'ducks for peace' and a cockrel and five hens - all of which will be given to families in Rwanda.
I've got similar gifts for a few others, too. However D-d had been looking on the site, and had been very taken by one gift, which I had to say had caught my eye too, but I'd decided perhaps not to buy it for her grandad...
For those of you who haven't clicked on the link - you can give £10 worth of bull semen!
D-d thought it might be the ideal gift for the man who has everything...
I suggested it would be a good stocking filler, to which she replied "Yeuch! I wouldn't want it in my stocking - it would leave a wet patch!"
I do love having a grown-up daughter that can joke about things like that with me!
