Writercon UK.
3 Aug 2008 05:48 pmI have booked our tickets to get us to Writercon UK in 12 days time - and for the first tim ever Daughter-dear can get out of bed and take US to the early boat in HER car to make up for all the times it has been me taking her! We will get the 7.30 boat to Liverpool on the Friday, and should get to Reading by 3 o clock if everything is running more or less to time.
We are actually staying on and coming home on Tuesday - Sunday rail travel is not good on the West Coast lines, and if we are staying for Sunday night we might as well have an extra whole day.
We could go into London for a day - or we could stay in Reading or the environs - any suggestions for two middle-aged islanders to do for the day?
And even more shiny is that I mentioned, after quailing about it for a couple of days, that all the artwork so far was Buffyverse - but there are people coming from other fandoms - hopefully lots of them! I mentioned LotR, because it is my other fandom and also because I am pretty sure that
ningloreth is coming, and lo and behold - two lovely possibles for my BtVS/LotR crossover, currently planned out, and about 2,000 words long. Look - this one by the wonderful Karen and this one by the equally wonderful Corinna.
So now I better go write....
PS - I think there is still room, and time, for more people to come to the do in Reading - check it out on the journal.
