I noticed
hobbituk saying that she is at her lightest weight since 1988. I had achieved a similar milestone - I was at my lightest since 1990, about 18 months ago, but since then the odd pound had been creeping back on. So last week I decided to go back to Very Careful Eating at least for the 6 days that D-d was away, and have fairly well stuck to it since, so almost a fortnight. Result, on the scales when I was at the hospital taking a clinic today, is that I have reduced by 1.6kg - nearly 4lbs. (I was going to say'lost' but I don't want to find it back!)
I was fairly sure that I had gone down a bit - I felt thinner - which is when it occured to me, not for the first time, that any given weight always feels thinner on the way DOWN through it than it does on the way UP through it! Six months ago I was disappointed with myself to be the weight I am today - because I had been lighter the month before - now I am all dead chuffed with myself for having got down to it again! How we let those scales (and waistbands) effect our moods!
