Fanfic Author Appreciation Week

So as it is FAAW, and it is cropping up quite lot in posts by my friends, I have been doing rather more on-line reading than usual. I have been considering the formation of words from the names of the main protagonists in stories - Spuffy and Bangel being the obvious prototypes.

There are definitely pairings and groupings that people ought to write just so's we can gasp at the 'ship description. Let us consider Libel - Lilah, Buffy, & Angel, rather than being untruthful about people. Imill (pronounced 'I'm ill' for humourous effect of course) - The Immortal and Illyria. Possibly even Gasp - Giles, Andrew and the Senior Partners .

But I think we should expand the genre - why not add in a few extra people to reflect the interests of many people in RL - we should mix in not just people from BtVS, AtS and Desperate Housewives etc., but a few other icons as well. I quite fancy adding a few chefs and designers to the mix. Someone should really have a go at Llill - Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen and Illyria - can't you just see it? Or Angella - Andrew meets Nigella Lawson? I think though, that the ultimate 'ship is going to have to be Spandex - how could anyone resist the idea of Spike,Angel, and Xander, with Delia Smith in between them?!!!
