Celebrate the end of Lent!

My daughter just passed me this link. I think I would call it 'Embryonic Death by Chocolate'.

If you've given up both cake and chocolates for Lent it would certainly be a way of celebrating the end of your fast.

I'm torn between feeling ill at the very thought and wanting to dash out to the kitchen and make some of them...

I wouldn't mind one if there was a version without the cream egg and the topping!

I have got to make some of those!

[I noticed you're posting a new story, btw, & I'm hoping to get a chance to read it this weekend.

Also to sort out [livejournal.com profile] writerconuk.

How are you getting on with your LOTR bigbang story? I've just finished a very stressful Draco/Hermione challenge, and was looking forward to getting stuck in to a relaxing L/E story, when they started chasing me & I panicked! I'm hoping to get my mojo back tomorrow...]

Wow. That would fill my chocolate quota for the month.

That looks so sweet that it makes my teeth hurt.

Too sweet for my palate!

That. Looks amazing.

OMG, I SO want one of these!!!

I don't do Lent, but maybe I could have one anyway?

I used to really like those Cadbury eggs, but the quality of the chocolate they use is... lacking. I wonder if the British ones are better? Hmm, I wonder if they have them at The British Pantry? I think a taste test is in order.

I find cream eggs too sweet and sticky. They used to be OK when they were bigger, but they are so small now!!

Not sure I could cope with the cream egg AND the icing!!!! Sugar rush!! :D

I must send that to Tim, as he gave up chocolate for Lent. I have never done that, as in the Brethren we don't ... and I have no will-power!!!!

I was just telling someone how much I adore Cadbury Creme Eggs, so... ::makes grabby hands::

Every year, I try a Cadbury Easter egg and each time I'm disappointed because it's too sweet for my tastes. (Which is just as well, because otherwise I'd gain a ton of weight around this time of year, LOL.)

So, I'd definitely pass on that cupcake!

[identity profile] cbtreks.livejournal.com 2011-04-23 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
The egg in the cupcake looks a little dried out but I like the idea. (I saw brownies with half a cream egg baked in the top of each square but since the eggs were only there for the last five minutes of baking time, they looked fine.) Wish I could find the Cadbury orange cream eggs - they'd be even better.

I literally just made chocolate cupcakes. and peppermint frosting; I have to say the cadbury egg idea is wacky but I'd have been tempted. But no more batter!

Definitely feeling ill, and that's coming from a chocoholic!

Happy Easter!

Can't say the sight of that concoction tickles my tastebuds...
Making saffron buns tomorrow.
Happy Easter!

It looks too sweet for my taste. Now if it were some kind of very dark chocolate with some sort of a brandy and fruit feeling, the story would have been different. My mouth waters just thinking about it. *g*

[identity profile] clodia-metelli.livejournal.com 2011-04-23 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh wow.

... I wonder if I'll still be able to find creme eggs when my holiday's up and I head north to my own kitchen? I have to try that!

I'm not a fan of Cadbury--the chocolate is mediocre--but I think I'd like my cupcake and candy separate, in this case.

[identity profile] cairistiona7.livejournal.com 2011-04-24 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Oh my goodness, one bite of that would go a loooooong way with me. I can only just stand Cadbury eggs... they're really too sweet for me.

But I do understand your dilemma! They look really good, even if one bite would send a person into a diabetic coma.
