Where I Live Day.

[livejournal.com profile] frimfram, bless her little cotton socks, has set up the community now for posting the Where I Live Day pictures [livejournal.com profile] wild_photos.

December 4th will be (the first) LJ Where I Live Day (WILD). The idea is that people take photos of their area, and post them on the community (which will be locked to members only to help the posters feel secure)on December 4th. Then we can all browse around and see what other places in the world REALLY look like, and help us visualise our friends in their natural habitat!! If you want suggestions to help you decide where to go snap, there is even a suggestions list.

Spread the word via your FL, and you friends FLs etc, join yourself up, and let's see how much world we can get on there!

Feel free to gack this WILD icon to help spread the word.

Buy a disposable camera, get them printed, and scan? I'm sure you'll find a way!

Do we get two sets from the Wombat household? It would be fun to see how you two have different (or similar takes on where you live...)

He doesn't usually take pictures - D-d and I are the photographers - but either of us would be happy to either (a) lend him a camera, or (b) take some pictures to his instructions!

Hmm. It would still be nice. The infamous Call Centre of Doom, for instance...

You don't have to do your house - it's more your town, and of course it doesn't need pictures of yourself at all. It is going into a locked community - so only those who join in can see the pics. I went out today, and took my camera, so I now have a picture of the harbour, and a picture of Tescos!

This is exciting! Our computer recently died (with photos on it! *sob*) so the digital camera's no good - but there are always disposables. I think you can get the photo cds from disposables, too, just like you would with regular film.

Eep! I had never thought about the possibility of losing all my pictures - must think about backing them up!

It does look as if it will be fun doesn't it? And I'm sure they'll put disposables onto disc, so that would be neat.
