Decememe - three for the price of one....
I'm a bit behind. I should have posted 'something I was reading' on Sunday. Mainly I was reading Live Journal, Faerie, the local news, and re-reading 'Blameless' by Gail Carriger on my Kindle. But the kindle is currently in the car, and I was also reading this book;

On Sunday I also read the instructions Shirebound had found for me, explaining how to get the pictures from the internal memory of my camera onto the memory card - I followed them and it worked - I promise I'll post a couple of the Messy Church pictures later this week!
Oh - and D-d came around, we hauled out a lot of the decorations, and sorted out which were hers, and which others I could happily also let her have, so that she can decorate her flat. This resulted in me having boxes of decorations all over; in self-defence I have put a few of them up - starting with the Santas from the 'decoration' post. I was thinking of getting a more tasteful door wreath than my fibre-optic one - but D-d felt Christmas wouldn't be Christmas with out my gloriously naff door decoration - so it is also in place now!
Yesterday's subject was wrapping paper. I have quite a large stash of wrapping paper in an enormous bag - and took a picture - but it was boring. So I took one of the gift bags out and gave it a solo spot -
I was given a Secret Santa present in it last year and love it so much I have not, yet, recycled it by giving it to someone else.
Last night there was an Elders meeting at church for about 2 hours where we met someone who may become our new minister. This was a first step - we will not know for some time whether minister and congregations (one minister looks after both the island's URC churches these days) suit each other - but this first meeting seemed to be pretty positive. I don't feel I can say much else just at the minute but we shall wait and see.
So I didn't put the wrapping paper to use - I was too busy!
And so to today - the subject is green - so here is a green tree from the Festival of Trees....

Isn't that fun?
Also today I have made a large amount of dough for white chocolate and cranberry cookies and put it in the freezer until I need it, and have written The Christmas Letter. Now to write the cards to go with it... the card writing has slipped a bit over the past few days!

You are motivating me to go home and get started on my family's traditional Christmas cookies.

I rather think that double entendre was very much in the mind of the designer - especially as 'fairy' is often used as a delicate euphemism for the vulva!
As for the Christmas baking; I find, if I make the dough and freeze it, the actual baking seems so much less of a chore and more of a pleasure as it is less rushed.

That is the exact point I am at, too - right down to forgetting to take them to work today!
