I did say a few days ago that you might see a little more of the Festival of Trees at the airport.

Well I think this works for Bright...



Today at work I put the Christmas tree up in our office - it is only tiny, though.

Also I have taken 18 of the plain cupcakes I made the other night out of the freezer and topped them for the children at tomorrow's Messy Church; wrote and printed the prayer notices for church on Sunday; got S2C to go down to Church with me so that I could get the Sunday School Christmas tree, and decorations, off the loft, put the tree up and the lights onto it so that the Messy group can help decorate it... and all that between finishing work and having dinner!

Oh - and I've written - um - four Christmas cards today...

A circus Christmas tree, maybe?

The front one is baby themed - the stork on the top has a baby in its beak as is traditional - and all the little baskets have teddies and so on in them - it was made by a nursery.

Not sure who sponsored the rainbow one, though!

Cupcakes are one of those things I can produce pretty quickly and small people like them! The secret is to make the cakes when you have time and bung them in the freezer - so all I have to do is pipe the buttercream on them, whilst still frozen even - they defrost quickly.

I love the stork tree topper! Is that a tree for people to choose families to donate gifts for? Or just a baby-theme one? And the rainbow tree is... very rainbowy. LOL Can't say I've ever seen one quite like that.

It's the tree sponsored by a local nursery - people vote for their favourite, make donations, and the money goes to Save The Children.

I don't know who sponsored the rainbow one, though.

The need to do things comes in little waves - I need Messy Church sorted by today, I need the Nativity Service for next week written in time to give people what they are doing in church tomorrow, then I'll need more cakes made for a cake stall on the 15th... and so on!

I did get a good night's sleep - and then today has been equally busy! But fun.
