Thank you for the links to the Ukrainian business and their blanket project. I've got a local charity in mind to donate to (money helps them best, as they then can partner with corporations and get bulk rates etc), but I've been wanting to find an actual Ukrainian business or charity that is legitimate (much harder to verify charities in other countries from here in the US; here, our charities are all rated by Charity Navigator, who examines balance sheets and accounting and giving etc to make sure it's not some con man sitting on a pile of money).

For pics here on DW, I think I had the best luck using Flickr, although I also tried copy/paste from Google. Neither are ideal, and it doesn't get around the privacy issues, but it does at least work, after a fashion. DW needs to rise above their 'only for uncensored fic' past and realize that a lot of people do more than just post fics here nowadays. That said, I'm still very grateful DW exists and is eager to help out with LJers who drift this way due to *waves at everything*.
