I saw that the Isle of Man was going to get hit, Wombat. Been emailing my uncle in North Wales. At 3.00 he said it was getting 'really hairy' and then they started reporting gusts of 106 miles an hour just down the coast. He moved there 19 years ago and has never experienced anything like it. He lost power for an hour, and said slates had come off the roof, and he and my aunt were just having a glass of whiskey, as it is just easing now, so they had about four hours of it. No-one will be able to assess the full damage until it gets light. But it sounds as if it will be awful.
