I have been reading your stories on Faerie and have to agree with your version of Elves and their lives. Walking and talking at 8 months and then taking 50 years to come to maturity 'does not compute'. I also can't see them bonding too soon either, considering you will be spending the rest of your immortal life with this person you would have to choose very carefully. I think Tolkiens version of Elves and their live was coloured by his religious background to a greater or lesser extent.

I am wondering just how long it will be before Tindome thinks about hauling off and dotting Haldir one, especially if he 'discusses' her bonding to Rumil, if he irritates her en-route to Mandos,Haldir might just be making a second trip through the Halls.
