I spoke too soon about that snow - it started again overnight and lightly thro the day so far, but it's light and powdery so although the gardens got a thicker coating, the roads are fairly clear thanks to the gritting lorries.

At 35+mph no wonder the power lines are coming down, especially if they're caked with ice. Keep safe and keep warm!
