We are in your universities... building museums!

I don't know if any of my North American friends are ever likely to be visiting the University of Wisconsin in Platteville. But if any of you ever do, you might find a visit to this new museum interesting.

And Happy 'Honorable Clare Christian Day'!

Oh, isn't that just marvelous! Wisconsin is the state next to mine and I travel through it each year to attend a convention in the eastern part of the state (my opportunity to spend an afternoon with Zhie also). So now they will have the Tolkien papers at Marquette University and the Manx Museum. Great!

I worked for the UW-Platteville study abroad program in Seville for years.
:)
Interesting!

Well, what do you know! If I'm ever up that way, I'll have to check it out.

And it seems to be on the way to Madison. I guess I will stop by the next time I'm going to WisCon.

Interesting! I can't say I've had much (OK, any) occasion to spend time at any Wisconsin universities since college debate tournaments, but that's kind of cool! I did stop for lunch in madison last month...

How fun! And I'm marginally more likely to get to Wisconsin than the real island.

I've been to Minneapolis (MN) several times and Chicago (IL) a few, but the University of Wisconsin lies between, and I've not spent much time in Wisconsin. If I'm ever there again, I'll certainly look up the museum.
